Yellow light as an ecologically advantageous solution
Today's requirements for the quality of outdoor lighting are just as diverse as their applications: high illumination levels in traffic, subdued light in the old town areas and ideally no artificial light for nature.
LED lighting for sensitive outdoor areas
Areas in which safety, ecology and quality of life are in the foreground deserve increased attention. Amber (light colour 518 = 1,800 Kelvin) is the magic formula, that meets the high requirements of these areas and counteracts light pollution.
The light of the Amber light fittings
is scattered significantly less in fog than white light. The reason for this is the lack of blue. The result is better visibility and therefore greater safety.
is very insect-friendly due to the lack of blue, and is scattered far less into the night sky than white light. This not only benefits star lovers, but also has a positive effect on the entire ecosystem.
is perceived as warm light that creates an atmospheric and cosy atmosphere.
One light colour - many options
Not only the light should be appealing and tailored to the respective need, but also the luminaires should blend harmoniously into their surroundings. This is why almost our entire LED outdoor light fitting range is also available in the special light colour Amber (1,800K). Most of the luminaires also meet the requirements of the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA).
This means that the luminaires
have an upward light ratio of zero percent (when assembled they do not emit any light towards the sky)
only have a small proportion of blue (max. 3,000K)
enable a reduction in the amount of light at night (versions with reduced output or the LIMAS light management system)
With the LED light fittings of the light colour Amber (1,800K) we offer a high degree of flexibility and make an important contribution to the spread of ecologically advantageous yellow light.
